Public Witnessing.

Many living in Frome are used to Jehovah's Witnesses knocking at their door. The local congregation have now added the above form of public witnessing to the streets in the town. This is because many of us are not at home when they knock. They feel their message is important and all of us should have a chance to listen to it.

Two Witnesses stand quietly with a trolley in the town centre. No need to worry that they will pounce on passers by, as they are instructed to stand quietly by the side of their trolley. They will answer Bible related questions and the interested pedestrian may obtain free any piece of literature on display.

One thing they are highlighting is the official website jw.org where many questions other persons have asked are already answered using the Bible. There is also a possibility to download almost all the Jehovah's Witnesses publications (FREELY) from this web site.

This is not something that is happening only in Frome. The idea was tried out first in Manhattan, New York, USA. Now it is in many countries. Also now in many towns and cities in Britain. The Jehovah's Witnesses are saying that they have given away hundreds if not thousands of pieces of literature (World-wide) through this means of public witnessing.

In some places the Jehovah's Witnesses have rented shops and set up their books , magazines and brochures for free distribution.

JW Information Store in Mexico.

At a Book Fair in Columbia

Mobile Book Stand in Germany.

At a New York Airport.

In Portugal

Chinese Language Book-stand  In Rome.

In New York Subways

There are many more pictures. This gives an idea just how serious this kind of public witnessing is. It is not a local idea. It is world-wide. Do you want to know why? Stop by the local stand in Frome and ask....

Or call at the local Kingdom Hall, Welshmill Lane, Frome. The Jehovah's Witnesses will welcome all warmly and answer any serious question by using a Bible. On Sunday mornings at 10 am they have a half hour talk based on a Bible topic to which the public are invited to attend. There are no collections. Also no obligations, except to sit quietly and listen.

Jehovah's Witnesses have informed that their stand can be found near the Bath Road pedestrian crossing in the centre of town on every Wednesday and Saturday.
