There was a protest song from the '60 ~ "Where have all the flowers gone?".
But that had to do with war. We can echo those words again. This time to do with rain. Have you really considered it? If they cant plant, how long will food stocks last until we have no more food to share? Don't worry about sending food parcels elsewhere. We will have to share within our community.
Now is the time for us to search out an answer. To find out when there will be better times. Where can we start for that? We have to start somewhere. But where? Here is a helpful suggestion.

Sodden fields from winter deluge delays crop planting.
Frome Standard
THE topic of conversation with most people at the moment is the continuing deluge of wind and rain.
My dad takes a keen interest in recording rainfall on the farm and according to his measurements we have had 19-and-a-half inches, or 497mm, of rain in December and January. This equates to pretty well half of our annual rainfall in less than 60 days and smashes the same two months last year which was a record at 310mm. And the weathermen say there is more to come!
On the farm we have managed to escape so far with not too much damage although just before Christmas when the first heavy storms began we had three of our cattle buildings flood out.
The sheer volume of water ran off the field behind the farm, over the ditches and seeped through the concrete walls. This meant that several hundred tonnes of sodden bedding straw then had to be taken out and replaced with fresh dry straw and this all happened on Christmas Eve!
At this time of year we are normally ploughing land that is due to be planted with spring crops but this has had to be delayed until the soil has dried out enough to travel.
We generally aim to have our hedge cutting finished by now as the end of February is the cut off date before the birds start to build their nests. Some grass fields are just passable but the fields with crops planted are an impossibility.
